Good Shepherd Box (instructional videos)
The Good Shepherd is a core parable in children’s ministry. The Good Shepherd scripture and its material set are a familiar work for all ages and they are a way in which the children have come to know more of Jesus. This Good Shepherd gift set is intended to give your child agency to access their ongoing reflection of this parable within their home and in their own time. As your child works with their hands either building the set or moving the material with the scripture text, it may enable a time of concentration, meditation and listening to the True Teacher within, the Holy Spirit.
We pray that your child, together with the Holy Spirit, may discover the many treasures of the Good Shepherd’s ever-present, protective and sacrificial love, now and throughout their lives.
Building your Good Shepherd Set
Your child’s Good Shepherd box has 4 work bags, each containing materials to build a particular item in the Good Shepherd set. The box itself will store the completed set. Together with your child, please view the instructional videos below for each of these works (1-4). Your child will likely need some assistance in these works.
