The Liturgical Calendar: Our Year with Jesus

Today’s children’s talk and extended video is about the church’s liturgical calendar. The calendar is a visual way of showing us that we as a church walk our life together shaped by Jesus’ life. It is His life that shapes our life together as he draws us to Himself to grow up into all that God has created us to be. The calendar work today visualizes that for us and allows us to map the rhythm of Celebration, Preparation and Growing that are at the center of our life together.

Your child(ren) will need the first image (blank liturgical calendar) printed for today’s work. Just click on the block below the video for a printable version. They will also need colored pencils or crayons in purple, red, green and yellow, as well as a regular pencil.

Below the first image are two more images to refer to during the time together (linear calendar; finished liturgical calendar). They can simply scroll down to these images or - if desired - print them from the image blocks by the same name to have on hand to refer to for guidance.

Please print the blank liturgical calendar for today’s work by clicking the button above.

The images below are optional and are for reference during our work together. They are printable from the blocks below each image.
