Memory Verse Challenge

One way we hear God’s words for us is through learning His words by heart. Here is a verse from Psalms that you can practice learning by heart. Then God’s voice is with you wherever you go!

With this first verse (the other 4 are at the bottom of the post), try learning it in 3 steps - each step makes you work a little harder! In step 1, you only have to remember 2 words by heart:

Step 2: now try remembering a few more words by heart:

Step 3: now try even more words by heart!:

Good work - you are done with verse #1! Here are the other 4 verses that are part of the challenge:

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.” John 10:14

“For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

“The Lord is my shepherd, I have everything I need.” Psalm 23:1

Remember to also write out the verses in your scripture book, journal or notebook.
